Lebenshilfe Hamburg e.V.

Since 1960, Lebenshilfe has been working to ensure that people with intellectual disabilities can participate equally in society. For its Hamburg regional association, I was involved in two projects focusing on digital accessibility and Easy Language.

For an accessible explainer video about integration assistance (Eingliederungshilfe), I managed the project from the initial idea through to completion. Together with the Lebenshilfe team, I first defined the objectives, target audience and requirements for the video. I then developed the concept for the content and visual design and wrote the script in Easy Language. I was also responsible for budgeting, art buying and coordinating the production of the animated video. I oversaw the review by a test group as well as the translations. This meant I was responsible not only for the copy, but for the concept and coordination of the entire project.

The #LeichtOnline project explored how digital services can be made more accessible for people with cognitive disabilities. At the end of the project, I edited the project report and contributed to its content and language.
